BACK STORY

To kickoff a relaxing art practice, I reach for extra heavy, white card stock. It’s sturdy, smooth, and holds up well for doodling, sketch work, exploring art mediums. With this particular paper, I feel free and open to warm up, to play around, make a mess, and practice.

Back in July 2022, I bought a binding machine and taught myself to make spiral-bound books. One day, I was looking around the studio for sturdy, thin cardboard to make some book covers. That’s when I got the idea to check the recycle bin for boxes. BINGO! I began refashioning cracker, snack, hot cocoa, freezer food, and cereal boxes into book covers. 

My infatuation with journals and sketchbooks has grown way out of hand. It’s time to share it with you.
